The Marina Bay Community Garden, located near the tennis courts, began in the summer of 2012. Now, nearly 50 people, ranging in age from 5 to 85, are involved in the program. Personal garden spaces are used for growing food and flowers and are rented for a small annual fee, which helps to pay for soil amendment, necessary equipment, and plants for designated shared garden spaces.

We also have several communal beds that everyone helps take care of and benefits from. Community garden members agree to garden organically and to assist in occasional work projects, such as replanting the communal beds. More experienced gardeners help new gardeners as needed. To build community, members organize social functions in the garden. We have an annual harvest dinner and other social events as well.  For more information about the Community garden and how to become a member, please contact Georgia Holtz [email protected].
